New additions this week was the formation of the roof. It made the house look like it grew to twice the size.
This week the framers got the walls up very quickly. It is looking more and more like a house each day! Lucy enjoyed checking out her new home!
This week has been the most exciting to me so far. It is actually starting to look like the house that we have envisioned. We got to walk though the house and stand in the different spaces imagining what it would look like in a few months. We are so thankful for everything we are blessed with.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 This week we got the footers filled and blocks laid. It is amazing to see how quickly it is turning into a real house. Kevin did such a good job and works hard every afternoon on our home! We know that the Lord is blessing us and making all of this become a reality.
I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1 We officially started on our home! Kevin and a friend are doing most of the work to get us started on our dream home. It doesn't look like much but there are a ton of strings that are strategically placed to start the footers of the house. We are so excited!
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8 We had been looking at house plans for months and with some changes we finally picked one that works for us.
3 bedrooms office (optional bedroom) 3 1/2 baths his and her closets bonus room over the garage We had a wishlist of things we wanted and got to include all of them in our plans! -his and her closets -big back porch -gas fireplace -half bath near the porch -formal dining room Pretty soon it was starting to feel like ours. We moved the camper to the land to entertain ourselves for a while. We would have friends over and grill out. We would ride dirt roads for hours on the teryx. Our new land turned out to have a pretty successful first hunting season. We are loving it so far!
We knew that we wanted privacy and to be able to hunt on our own land. Kevin cleared a large driveway through the middle and cleared out enough space for our house to be built. He worked very hard and soon what was a bunch of trees slowly started becoming "our land." Kevin also dug a pond that is off to the side of the house.
